WHY LEARN HOUDINI?

 Houdini uses a node-based procedural approach that allows artists to build systems, explore variations and revise complex work efficiently. It is widely used across visual effects, animation, games, motion design, virtual production and design visualisation.


This course introduces the logic behind procedural workflows while helping participants build confidence with the interface, geometry, attributes and connected production tools. It should be presented as a fundamentals course rather than a promise to master both basic and advanced Houdini in five days.

Yes. It is designed as a structured fundamentals course. Familiarity with another 3D application may help but should not be presented as mandatory unless required by the current outline. 


Participants complete guided exercises and project-based tasks covering procedural geometry, attributes and selected effects or integration workflows. Confirm the current project outcome before registration 


The fundamentals course introduces VOPs or VEX and selected dynamics concepts. The depth depends on participant experience and the approved five-day outline. 


The course can introduce HDAs and Houdini Engine for a compatible Unreal Engine workflow. Confirm the software versions and exact integration topics for the intake. 


Yes. EFXCO can discuss content based on your team’s experience, pipeline, desired outputs, software versions, schedule and delivery format. 


Selected programmes may support HRD Corp claims, subject to employer eligibility, current programme registration and supporting documentation. 


The required Houdini edition and version, SideFX account, computer specifications and project files should be confirmed in the current course outline.
